The DOCument Member Letter

If you frequently find yourself selling into panics or buying false breakouts, you probably aren't using cycles as part of your market analysis. More likely you are trading by emotion or using outmoded technical analysis techniques which, due to their popularity, have lost their efficacy. The DOCument's Member Area reveals a steadfast methodology for letting emotions work in your favor... other people's emotions, that is.

Through a nightly letter, I describe the current cycle states for stocks, gold, and the U.S. dollar. This cycle analysis is supplemented by proprietary technical analysis techniques I have developed over my years as a professional trader.

The DOCument is more than a newsletter... it is my trade journal. Unlike like most newsletter authors who are better at writing than trading, I am a professional trader who makes a living from the market, not from subscription fees. I would be writing this journal whether or not it were formalized into a letter. In other words, your subscription provides a window into a successful trader's journal.

My analysis suggests a major cyclical low formed in commodities in late December 2011 and that the next two years will host some of the largest gains of the commodity bull market. The DOCument will contain ongoing thoughts and analysis as I try to capitalize on this outlook.

Membership Benefits

Subscribers enjoy:

More in-depth analysis
The subscriber newsletter incorporates a detailed view of daily action, including an analysis of current daily and intermediate cycles on the dollar, S&P 500 and gold. Cycles are juxtaposed against proprietary TA methods, market psychology, history, and a macroeconomic backdrop to produce higher-probability outlooks.

More frequent posts
The Member newsletter is published evenings after most trading sessions. Annual subscribers are promised a minimum of 225 posts per year (I wrote 239 letters in 2011). All subscribers will also have access to the complete history of newsletters.

Open community
Each newsletter incorporates a Comments section allowing Members to openly discuss and critique the analysis, as well as share any trading-related ideas.

The Big Picture
The Big Picture, update weekly, provides the current state of dollar, equity, and gold cycles.

View of the Docfolio
Trades made during any session will be noted at the bottom of that day's Member letter. A list of current holdings for Doc's trading portfolio (the Docfolio) is also provided.

Backburner Ideas
Unlike the newsletter, which focuses on current trading opportunities, the Backburner section will cover ideas for future trades Doc is pondering.

Doc's technical analysis manual
A series of articles will reveal Doc's proprietary trading techniques as well as a critique of common technical analysis methods.

Case Studies
On occasion, Doc will review a key turning point in market history and present a case study describing how the use of cycles and technical analysis could help a trader navigate the setup. A complete history of the case studies is available to all subscribers.
